The TAL is a self-propelled platform especially designed for
picking and pruning of deciduous fruit trees, citrus, sub tropical
fruit trees and olives, up to a 4.5 (14'9") meter height.
This model can carry, load and unload a 350 Kg. (770 Lb.) bin.
The machine driving speed varies from 0 up to 7 KPH (4.4 MPH).

FRAME/BASE
Solid 40 mm (1.6"). Base plate, rigid, low center of
gravity, easy service access.
Shell type covers for full components protection, air flow
ventilating screens, covers swing out for comfortable access.
Padlock provision for eliminating unauthorized operation.
Tower tubular high tensile steel and mechanical platform leveling
hinged arm.
Platform enclosed with hinged upward gate and back rest. Once
gate is open for access main disc brakes are automatically
applied for safety.
All metal parts are sand blasted, zinc base paint and enamel
over coat. Fasteners are min. grade 5 zinc plated. Durable
and long lasting.
CONTROLS
In order to simplify and maximize operation efficiency while
operator utilizes his hands for the different tasks around
the tree, foot controls are provided for tower lift/descents,
swing out/in, and propelling.
Foot controls are direct mechanically over hydraulic valve
on platform.
Steering and forklift hand control direct.
Foot Hydraulic control side shift for ¡°clean¡± platform floor.
Engine R.P.M. (proportional to foot control travel), gear
position (neutral spring centralized), and main disc brakes
are controlled by air pressure.
Air pressure controls ensure soft and easy operations and
eliminate control cables or electric solenoids.
ENGINE
Standard Honda gas engine 11 H.P. air cooled, electric and
rope start standard.
Easy start under any weather condition, reliable, low fuel
consumption, no vibration, very low noise level. (While in
working position engine automatically idles, lowering fuel
consumption, noise, emission and wear).
Diesel engine is available as option.
AIR PRESSURE SYSTEM
Air compressor is standard equipment including air tank, pressure
regulator, safety valve, water trap, oiler and pressure gauge.
Air outlet on machine base and operator platform for pruning
and service.
Air pressure is utilized for controls, gear positioning, engine
R.P.M, and brakes release.
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
Open center hydraulic system controlling tower lift and swing,
steering and fork lift.
Hydraulic outlets on platform for pruning tools are available
as option.
Hydraulic cylinders heavy duty construction.
PROPELLING
0 - 7 KM/H (0-4.3 MPH) (Propelling speed with diesel engine
is slower).
Unique mechanical drive system, centrifugal clutch, high ratio
reduction gear, with three positions: ¡°forward¡±, ¡°neutral¡±
and ¡°reverse¡±, operated by air pressure control, high torque,
efficient, reliable, very low wear.
BRAKES
Two separate systems, mechanically applied:
Once engine is idle, mechanical spring loaded friction type
brakes are automatically applied, locking machine in place.
Once engine R.P.M. is increased, centrifugal clutch takes
over and brakes are automatically released.
Two large diameter disc brakes are mounted directly on propelling
wheel hub, ¡°Fail safe type¡±, spring loaded. Air pressure release,
applied by operator command or automatic once reduction gear
is in neutral position. Machine is automatically locked in
case of loss of air pressure. When propelling down hill, centrifugal
clutch is engaged and engine compression controls propelling
speed. Centrifugal clutch, first brakes, disc brakes, large
friction areas for low wear.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
12 V Battery 38 amps. Electric start, charging system, battery
main switch ON/OFF. Safety oil level indicator automatically
shuts off engine.
